Tampa Hotels
The name Tampa means ‘sticks of fire’ in Native American. Tampa is in Hillsborough County on the West Coast of Florida referred to as the Tampa Bay area. The area originally had once of the largest Cuban settlement. On a visit to Tampa Cuban sandwiches and hand rolled Cuban cigars are must to do. The Ybor City is known as the cigar capital of the world. Stroll along the Bay shore Boulevard termed as the ‘world’s largest sidewalk’
The Tampa Bay Hotel built in 1891, with over 500 rooms is one of the oldest architectural structures still standing, though no longer run as a hotel.
Most of the hotels are located near the airport area, which makes it easy to access the main tourist attractions. There are resorts along the coast which offer jet skiing and parasailing.
An ideal day in Tampa would be have a sumptuous breakfast at a waterside bay, visit the Busch Gardens, a 300-acre forest reserves, go to the beach and later dine out at one of the hip restaurants!
